There is no denying the popularity of crossover SUVs. Through years of thoughtful design by automakers like Ford, buyers can find crossover SUV models in a dizzying array of sizes and styles which can just about meet any need. Ford already has one of the most diverse lineups of SUVs from the powerful, capable and luxurious Ford Expedition to the nimble and efficient Ford Edge. For the new model year, the manufacturer is introducing the 2018 Ford EcoSport near South Burlington, VT, the company's first subcompact crossover SUV.
While the EcoSport will be new to American buyers, Ford has previously seen a great deal of success with the EcoSport platform in several foreign markets. Don't be fooled by the small size of the 2018 Ford EcoSport, this is one feature-packed compact crossover SUV.
In keeping with Ford's commitment to bringing buyers plenty of choices to work with, the 2018 Ford EcoSport near South Burlington, VT will be available in four different trims, S, SE, SES and Titanium. Regardless of which version a Heritage Ford customer was to choose, they will always have a very comprehensive list of standard features that will appear on each trim grade.
Ford has also included its latest connectivity and infotainment technology on many of the trim grades for the 2018 EcoSport. The Ford Sync 3 infotainment system allows drivers and passengers to easily and safety access information on the fly. Furthermore, the system is compatible with the latest apps from today's most popular smartphones.

There are two engines available for the 2018 Ford EcoSport. Buyers choosing the S, SE or Titanium will be getting a turbocharged, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine making 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. The SES trim uses a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder power plant making 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. | Competitors are sure to make light slim dimensions of the 2018 Ford EcoSport. This would be a major mistake on their part. First, the 2018 EcoSport has seating capacity for up to five passengers. Those in the front seats can have up to 41.1 inches of legroom; passengers in the back can use as much as 36.7 inches - about as much in today's most popular sedans. | Not only will everyone riding in the 2018 EcoSport be as comfortable as possible, but there will still be plenty of space for cargo. Even with the rear seats open for its three passengers, but more than 20 cubic-feet of cargo space will still be available. That's more than many similarly-sized sedans. Folding those seats down makes 50 cubic-feet available, matching many larger crossover SUVs. |
