
Will the 2017 Ford Escape have SYNC 3?
As promised, Ford announced that they would be adding CarPlay and Android Auto to all 2017 vehicles that have SYNC 3 technology. The 2017 Ford Escape will be the first 2017 Ford vehicle with CarPlay and Android Auto ability, the 2017 Escape is due to arrive at dealerships in May of this year. CarPlay is the Apple software which will bring Maps, Phone, Messages, Music, Podcasts and a number of third-party apps such as Spotify to the in-dash multimedia system. CarPlay can be controlled with Siri and the vehicle’s built-in controls.
Android Auto which is used by Android devices brings Google Maps, Google Play Music, and Google voice search will answer any questions drivers have while on the road. What is nice about the SYNC 3 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is that the screen of your smartphone is projected onto the touchscreen of your Ford vehicle with allows of familiar use and easy navigation because it is basically the same look as your home screen as your smartphone.

What is the Difference Between SYNC and SYNC 3?
Aside from SYNC 3 featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SYNC 3 is the updated SYNC system which features Ford’s next generation of voice-activated technology, a new easy to use design, a new interface and new features. Ford also promises that SYNC 3 will also have a faster response than the previous versions. If equipped, SYNC 3 is also able to set your favorite temperature through voice control or use the touchscreen to adjust temperature.
