2019 Ford Ranger Engine Options and Performance Specs
It is finally happening! Ford is bringing back the Ford Ranger to compete with the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon as Ford currently does not have a pickup truck to compete with the two midsize pickups. Ford still sells their midsize pickup just about everyone where else but the U.S. currently but reports are that the Ford Ranger will be making a return as a 2019 model.
Globally the Ford Ranger is offered with a 3.2- liter five-cylinder diesel engine and this engine will likely be available in the American market once the Ranger makes its way back to the States. An EcoBoost four-cylinder engine and a V6 engine option are also expected to be offered with the 2019 Ford Ranger. The Ranger may not be the only Ford nameplate making an appearance again, rumors are that Ford may be bringing back the Ford Bronco as well as Ford announced that they will be introducing four new SUVs in the next four years and some of us hope that the Ford Bronco will be one of those.

2019 Ford Ranger U.S. Release Date
Ford has not announced an official U.S. release date yet, but reports are that it will be here as a 2019 model year so we may expect it to be released in the U.S. in 2018. As an official release date has not been released there has been no word on price, but we can expect that the base model will be around $25,000. The U.S. Ranger will use the same body-on-frame construction as the truck sold everywhere else in the world. The Ranger will be slightly longer and wider than the previous models were as well as lighter. The exterior of the Ranger now sports a more rugged and aggressive look and on the inside we will see a more spacious and comfortable interior than we have seen with the Rangers before.
