2017 Ford Super Duty Adaptive Steering Feature

The new 2017 Super Duty has begun arriving at Heritage Ford. In our inventory already, we have the 2017 Ford F-250 and 2017 Ford F-350 with more new F-series models due to be arriving soon. The 2017 model year for the F-series lineup has already proven to be an important year for the pickup truck. The F-series lineup has been completely redesigned for the model year to include more powerful engines, roomier interiors and more convenience and technology features to make the Ford pickup truck the most productive truck on the market.

One new feature for the 2017 model year is Ford’s Adaptive Steering System. The system works by adjusting the steering ratio in response to the vehicle’s speed. It automatically adapts to the driving situation, whether you are parking or backing up a trailer or traveling on the highway. The lower speeds, the steering ratio increases, requiring fewer turns of the steering wheel and less steering effort. At higher speeds, the steering ratio gradually decreases, giving the steering a firm and more controlled feel.
