2018 Ford EcoSport Specs, Features and Official Release Date
In the world’s first-ever Snapchat vehicle reveal, Ford introduced the all-new EcoSport for North America. While the new EcoSport will be Ford’s smallest SUV, it will be packed with features and personality and will serve as the perfect companion for people who live big but don’t want the big vehicle. The official release date for the 2018 Ford EcoSport is early 2018 which means we still have a while to wait for the new SUV.

2018 EcoSport Technology Features
The center of the dashboard hosts an 8-inch touchscreen that is equipped with SYNC 3. Drivers will also have access to operate the available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as B&O PLAY audio settings. The Ford-exclusive B&O PLAY audio system features 10 speakers, including B&O PLAY-brand tweeters and woofers in the front doors and a subwoofer in back. Drivers will also have the ability to start, lock, unlock and locate their vehicle from almost anywhere using available SYNC Connect with FordPass. The mobile app lets owners see vehicle information, such as fuel level and odometer reading.
2018 EcoSport Engine and Design
The all-new 2018 EcoSport will be equipped with either the award-winning 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost or 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission and the 2.0-liter engine gets Ford’s Intelligent 4WD system. On the interior, customers will find as many as 30 storage pockets, bins, and hooks to make the EcoSport incredibly efficient. A cargo management system in the rear features a movable floor board and fold-away second-row seats to provide a flat area for moving furniture and other larger items.

Customers that are looking for more personalization and to stand out can choose from 10 exterior color choices for the EcoSport. There are also seven ambient lighting options and four trim levels S, SE, SES and Titanium. The EcoSport SES offers the most personality with Intelligent 4WD, a sport-tuned suspension and steering, and unique styling both inside and out including bold copper accents for the interior and sport seats.
The all-new Ford EcoSport may not be due to be available for a while yet but this new compact SUV will be an anticipated arrival for the next year. Until then, we will update our blog as more information becomes available on the new EcoSport.
