Release date for the 2019 Bullitt Mustang

Everyone can agree that the Ford Mustang is a special vehicle. Even the most casual fan has a favorite model year of the Mustang. To commemorate one of the most coveted versions, Ford is producing a limited production 50th anniversary edition of the 1969 Mustang which took the country by storm in the Steve McQueen classic, “Bullitt.” The release date for the 2019 Bullitt Mustang and will be coming later this year and will package just about everything offered by the latest Mustang’s GT trim as well as several high-performance add-ons. And, yes, you can get the car in the classic Dark Highland Green paint scheme.
 

“This new Bullitt is, as Steve McQueen was, effortlessly cool,” Darrell Behmer, Mustang chief designer said in a press release. “As a designer, it’s my favorite Mustang – devoid of stripes, spoilers and badges. It doesn’t need to scream about anything – it’s just cool.”

How fast is the new Bullitt Mustang?

According to information Ford has published from the North American International Auto Show, where the release date for the 2019 Bullitt Mustang was announced, the limited-edition car will only feature the famous 5.0-liter, V-8 making, at least, 475 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. This should translate into a top speed of more than 160 miles per hour. For what it’s worth, buyers can choose to also get the new Bullitt Mustang in Shadow Black, but we can’t imagine why anyone would turn their back on the available iconic green shade.

What comes with the Bullitt Mustang?

Beyond the two available paint colors, the 2019 version of the Bullitt Mustang is a pretty all-inclusive package. In fact, the special edition comes with an exclusive electronics suite featuring navigation, driver memory seats, upgraded stereo system and active safety sensors. The automaker’s MangeRide® semi-active suspension system will help drivers maintain precise control.

Since the 2019 Bullitt Mustang is going to only be produced in low numbers, interested buyers should contact the Heritage Ford showroom as soon as possible to make sure they get their orders in on time.
