Items We Recommend You Bring on Your Off-Road Adventure
If you’re looking to take your Ford model for an exceptional off-road adventure, one that lets you tackle the world without worry or pause, we’ve got you covered! However, vehicles aren’t all that you need in order to tackle the trail! You also need to be prepared for just about anything. Continue reading below to see some items we recommend you bring along with you.
A Recovery Kit
Most stock models won't have access to a winch system and so you’ll have to use another vehicle to get you out if you’re stuck. The easiest way to do that is with a snatch strap and a couple of shackles, which of course need to be rated for your model’s weight and size. For the snatch strap you’ll want a minimum breaking strength of at least three to four times the weight of your model, while the shackles should be rated three-and-a-quarter tons.
A Tire Repair Kit and Air Compressor
This is technically two items, but they’re part of a package deal. Tires are the most important part of any model, and the most frequently damaged. That said, you should make sure that you carry a complete tire repair kit in order to keep these tires in the best possible condition while traveling on and off the road. The compressor will be necessary to re-inflate your tires as needed.
Hands Tools and Work Gloves
You’ll want to have a comprehensive selection of tools ranging from wrenches, drivers, pilers, and work gloves that are rated for cuts and or abrasions. Even if you don’t intend to work on your vehicle, you should make sure that you have these tools and parts ready to handle any problems that might encounter. So, if you’re looking for an exceptional off-roading adventure, you should make sure that you bring a variety of great items with you.
