2017 Ford Super Duty Release Date and Specs

Ford’s Super Duty pickup trucks are already some of the greatest pickups currently on the market but things are about to get better with the 2017 Super Duty. The new 2017 Super Duty is lighter and Ford redesign the body to make the only heavy-duty pickup with a high strength, military grade aluminum alloy body. We can expect the 2017 Super Duty to make its appearance at Ford dealerships in late 2016, and there has been no word yet on price of the 2017 Super Duty lineup.  Much like the 2017 Ford Escape and 2017 Ford Fusion, the 2017 Super Duty saw a lot of improvement and changes over the 2016 model year. 

Ford worked hard to improve the productivity of the 2017 Super Duty be upgrading and adding new features to the pickup. The Super Cab will now be available with 170 degree doors for easy and convenient loading and unloading and the second row will feature a full flat load floor with clever crew cab storage system for those who load things in the cab as well. Increase in productivity doesn’t stop there, the pickup box with be featured with LED illumination, a 110V/400W inverter and box link for securing all types of cargo. Ford makes working easy and your 2017 Super Duty pickup truck will be right along side you the entire way.

2017 Super Duty Engine and Towing Capability

The 2017 Super Duty’s engines have been upgraded for this model year. The 6.2-liter engine has increased torque and will feature TorqShift-G, a new 6-speed automatic transmission on F-250 gas models. The 6.8-liter engine and 6.7-liter Power Stroke Diesel engine will also have increased torque and will feature the TorqShift 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Ford also made the 2017 Super Duty the smartest and most capable tow rig with improved engine-exhaust braking for better control, adaptive front steering for better trailer handling, weight-carrying hitches for bigger loads, trailer tire pressure monitoring system, PowerScope trailer tow mirrors with spotlights and dynamic trailer reverse guidance. The 2017 Ford Super Duty will also have up to seven cameras that monitor 360 degrees to see everything going on around you.
