2017 Ford Fusion Interior Features

Ford cares about their customers thoughts and ideas on how to improve their vehicles. One recent conducted survey found that customers wanted better cupholders. The survey also showed that customers not only use cupholders for bottles and cups of varying shapes and sizes but also mobile devices and loose change so not only did Ford redesign their cupholders for the 2017 Fusion but they also added an extra pocket in the front console for customers to place their wallet, phone and other various items in.

Ford replaced the traditional shifter with a rotary gear shift dial which gave more space for the two newly redesigned cupholders. The new cupholders are now one in front of the other, which the front cupholder 6 inches forward from their location the 2016 Fusion. The small move allows for the armrest to extend by nearly 3 inches and to expand the armrest bin by an extra half-gallon. All in all, the 2017 Fusion will have six cupholders in the console, front door pockets and rear center armrest for those wondering how many cupholders does the 2017 Ford fusion have.
